Eugene "Gene" E. Swenson Birth: He was born around 1923 in Louisiana while the family lived in the colony. Family Information:
Son of Carl and Emily Swenson. Description: His WWII Draft card described him as being 5'8" tall, weight 140 pounds, with a light complexion, blue eyes and blonde hair. Pre-Colony History: Home in Colony: Job in Colony: In January 1933 Eugene and Marjory Lewis used Caroline Bradshaw's little wagon to take a load of greens and vegetables to the Kid Kolony. Other Info: In 1932, he became a Nature Guardian of Louisiana when he agreed to protect the birds, flowers, trees and other natural resources of the state against wanton destruction. Post-Colony History: In 1940 he and his father were living in Texas, lodging with the Ole Synoground family. Death: He died in 2001 at Oxnard, California.
