Marion E. Babb

Birth: Born around 1876-77 in Ohio.  

Family Information: Husband of Lutie Babb.

Father of Bennett Babb.  

Description:  

Pre-Colony History: In 1910 he, Lutie and Bennett were living in Missouri where he worked as a house carpenter.

He joined the colony while it was located in California and made the trip to Louisiana in one of the autos that left the old colony on November 15, 1917 and arrived in early December at Stables (later to become Newllano), Louisiana.

His companions for the trip were Ed Bruel, Bert Kenny and Doc Williams.

Post-Colony History: In 1920 the family were all living in California where he worked as a house carpenter. In 1930 he and Lutie were still living in California where he worked as a poultry man; his son Bennett and his first wife, Floy, lived with them.

In May 1930 he was unable to attend a picnic for old colonists held at Fullerton, California, being tied up with his livestock, though Lutie did attend.
