Walter Duncan Birth: Born around 1871 in Illinois. Family Information: Description: In January 1934 he was grimy and covered with odorous pine shavings -- he was shoveling wood shavings into his wagon. Pre-Colony History: His early life was spent in farming, then he went into the lumber business. Home in Colony: The 1930 US Census lists him as a lodger with the Rolllie Ridgeway family. In 1935 he was living in the Newllano Colony. Job in Colony: He was working as a teamster for the colony in 1930 and 1934. Other Info: Post-Colony History: In 1940 he was living in a home in the unincorporated New Llano, Louisiana (site of the old colony).
