Doug Bridger

Birth: He was born in July 1912 in New Jersey.  

Family Information: Son of Alice (Hunnikin Moore Bridger) Pickett and Ezra Bridger.

Step-son of George Pickett and half-brother of Blair Pickett.  

Description:  

Pre-Colony History: In 1920 he was living in New Jersey with his mother and two siblings.

In 1930 he was living in New Jersey and unemployed.  

Home in Colony:  

Job in Colony: In 1932 he was helping put up the subsills on the new Pickett home.

In February of that year, he, along with B. Bartlett, C.F. Kimball, John Lukko and Leo Roscoe were working as carpenters on the building jobs.  

Other Info:

In 1932 he and Ed Hiatt returned from a visit to Mena, Arkansas where they had seen Billy and Viola Gilbert and Mrs. Voorhees of "California memory".

In 1932 he, along with many other colonists, signed a protest again colonists E.G. Webb and Walter Groth remaining in the colony "to save them".

Post-Colony History: He enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and was released in 1945.  

Death: He died in November 1971 in San Diego, California.
