Charles E. "Charley" Murray Birth: He was born in 1918 at Louisiana. Family Information: Son of Emma (Phillips) and A.M. "Mack" Murray. Description: Pre-Colony History: In 1920 he was living with his parents and siblings at Union Parish, Louisiana and in 1930 at Lincoln Parish, Louisiana. Home in Colony: Job in Colony: In October 1936 Mrs. Watson was the foreman of the laundry crew along with Cy Horney, chief launderer; Charley Murray, his helper; Mattie Turner, Sarah Murray and Esther Brown, ironers; and Mrs. Hullinger, mangler. Cy also pressed the men's pants. Other Info: Post-Colony History: He enlisted in the US Army in December 1942 and was released from service in July 1945. Death: He died in 2001; his last residence listed with the Social Security office was at Minden, Louisiana.
