In 1931 M.H. Atworth reported on a "Children's Reception" attended by Raymond, Archie and Bill Ogden. At the meeting, their father, Archibald, spoke about the matter of discipline and responsibilities of teachers and parents. In 1932, he became a Nature Guardian of Louisiana when he agreed to protect the birds, flowers, trees and other natural resources of the state against wanton destruction.
